Since the establishment of China's first migratory bird migratory habitat protection area in 1990, there have been 524 species of rare birds, accounting for more than 45% of China's existing birds There are 68 species of animals under special protection, many of which are world-renowned rare birds. The best season for bird watching in Beidaihe is from mid-March to late May every year, and from early September to mid-November. Beidaihe District is a world-famous bird-watching place and is known as the "Mecca of Bird-watching".
